How An AI Engineer Got 20+ Reddit Replies and 3 Potential Clients in One Week Using Cloud Phones
For many SaaS founders and indie developers, Reddit is one of the most valuable places to validate ideas, run customer discovery, and find early adopters. But it’s also one of the hardest platforms to operate on if your environment triggers flags.
In this guest post, Danil, an AI engineer and SaaS founder shares his real workflow for conducting anonymous customer discovery on Reddit using GeeLark cloud phones and residential proxies, and how this setup helped him collect real feedback and potential customers without losing accounts.
How I Built an Anonymous Reddit CustDev Workflow Using GeeLark Cloud Phones
Hi! I’m a Russian developer, AI engineer, and founder of a couple of promising projects. I build AI agents, AI-powered web applications, and automation systems using n8n.
If you’ve ever tried promoting or validating a product in Western communities—especially on Reddit—you probably know the problem:
If you log in using a Russian IP or a typical VPN (even self-hosted), your account often ends up shadowbanned very quickly.
Over the past month, I’ve been testing different anti-detect environments combined with residential proxies, and eventually I tried GeeLark cloud phones for anonymous customer discovery and scaling.
Here’s how this stack saved me a huge amount of time and frustration.

My Workflow Before GeeLark (The Frankenstein Setup)
Before discovering GeeLark, my setup looked like a Frankenstein monster:
- dozens of browser tabs
- multiple VPN clients
- constantly rotating proxies that kept failing
- manual cookie cleaning
The biggest problem is that Reddit’s detection system is extremely sensitive.
It analyzes system fingerprints such as:
- Canvas fingerprints
- WebRTC leaks
- Installed fonts
- hardware and browser signals
Even if your proxy is clean, your device fingerprint can still get you banned.
As a result, I was losing 3–4 accounts per week, just trying to ask questions in niche subreddits.
It was incredibly frustrating.
How I Found GeeLark
Before testing tools, I spent a long time researching the market.
I collected information from:
- expert reviews
- user discussions
- deep research using ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity
After running a full multi-factor comparison, GeeLark came out on top.
What caught my attention was that it’s not just another anti-detect browser.
Instead, GeeLark provides mobile environments through cloud phones, which is critical for social media platforms.
Mobile traffic generally looks far more natural to anti-fraud systems than desktop automation setups.

My Configuration
My basic setup looks like this:
Profile Type
- Android / Cloud Phone

Proxy Type
- Residential proxies
- Fraud Score checked
- ISP type verified as Residential (not Commercial)
Setup Time
- Around 5 minutes. I simply imported my proxy list, checked them using the built-in proxy checker (super convenient — no need for third-party tools) and created 5 profiles for different tasks.
Running Customer Discovery on Reddit (r/SaaS)
I created three Reddit accounts with history, designed to look like normal users. Instead of posting direct ads about my products, I asked organic questions in automation discussions. Example post:
“How do you connect n8n with Telegram to process leads? I’m getting tired of handling this manually.”
This approach sparked genuine discussions.
Results after one week
- 20+ real replies
- 3 potential customers in direct messages
- clear insights into which feature I should build next
Without GeeLark, my accounts would likely have been banned after the second post due to “suspicious activity”.
Features That Helped the Most
A few features made a big difference for my workflow.
Proxy Manager
Bulk importing and checking proxies is incredibly useful. Just upload a list and instantly see:
- which proxies are alive
- which ones are flagged or dead
No need to use external proxy testing services.
Device Synchronization
This feature is surprisingly powerful. You can access your profiles:
- from different computers
- while traveling
- together with co-founders or team members
You’re no longer tied to a single physical machine.
No Fingerprint Leaks
I tested the environment using:
- Whoer
- Pixelscan
The results showed full anonymity with no detectable leaks.
There were no issues with:
- real IP exposure
- WebRTC leaks
- DNS inconsistencies
Final Thoughts: Is It Worth It?
For developers and SaaS founders in 2026, online anonymity is no longer a luxury—it’s a survival tool. GeeLark solved my biggest problems when working with Reddit and helped automate a large portion of my workflow.
Pros
- Simple, clean interface
- Realistic mobile fingerprints
- Reasonable pricing for the functionality
Cons
- The Network Extension sometimes glitches when running without proxies
- Occasionally profiles fail to open and require restarting the app
My Advice
If you’re still trying to run multiple accounts using free proxies and regular Chrome profiles, it’s probably time to stop.
Your time is more valuable than constantly rebuilding banned accounts.
